How is Buji different from freeze-dried meals?
Traditional freeze-dried and dehydrated meals require reconstitution with boiling water, a stove, and 10+ minutes of wait time. Buji meals are fully pre-cooked using a steam cooking process that keeps ingredients whole and flavours intact. They're ready to eat the moment you open the pouch.

Can I eat Buji without heating it?
Yes! Every Buji meal is fully cooked and ready to eat straight from the pouch. Heating is completely optional.
Do I need to add water?
No. Everything you need is already in the pouch. Unlike freeze-dried or dehydrated meals, Buji does not require any added water or waiting time. Simply open the pouch and enjoy.
How can I warm a pouch?
Place the unopened pouch in simmering water, or transfer the contents to suitable cookware or a microwave-safe bowl. Do not microwave the pouch itself.
Are Buji meals suitable for kids?
Our current lineup is formulated for adults and may be higher in sodium than what's ideal for young children. That said, we're developing a dedicated kids line. Stay tuned.
Can I microwave a Buji pouch?
Do not microwave the pouch itself, as it contains a layer of aluminium. If you'd like to heat your meal in a microwave, transfer the contents to a microwave-safe dish first.
How long do Buji meals last?
Buji meals are shelf-stable and designed for long-term storage which is 3 years from the printed date on the pouch. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid extreme temperatures. Once open, please refrigerate any unused portions.
